Sister's Bridal Shower

A few weeks ago my mom and sister came up to Utah for the weekend. My sister is getting married in about a month and they had to do some wedding stuff up here because she'll be getting married in the Salt Lake Temple and having one of her receptions in Utah.

While they were here my wonderful cousin Dawn put on a bridal shower for my sister. It was a lot of fun seeing and talking with my aunts and cousins.

The cute set up

Chelsie's fiance Matt gave her this as his bridal shower gift. When he was on his mission he picked it out and said he would give it to the woman he married. Not a gift you'd think to get from your fiance,
but a good thing to have when they live in Colorado. :)

Cute present my cousin made. She got the idea from Pinterest of course.

My gorgeous mom and sister, love them!

We wanted to make a bow hat (or whatever they are called) for her to wear but there was only one bow to use.

The cute, happy couple

The rest of the weekend was filled with more wedding stuff and just hanging out. It was so much fun having them here and wish they could've stayed longer. It's no fun living a state away from your family and friends. I hope the next month goes quickly so I can see them and the rest of my family at my sister's wedding! :)

Little Adventures

For the past two weeks I've been helping out at my husband's work. He recently got a new job and works for a company called Little Adventures. They make cute dress up clothes for kids and Lance is the Senior Marketing Manager for the company.

Every time they get inventory in they check (I believe) 100 of the items and if more then a certain percentage are defective they have to check the entire inventory. Well unfortunately their latest inventory had to many defectives from the 100 they checked, so they now had to check the entire inventory.

Lance knew I didn't work on Tuesday's and Thursday's so he gladly volunteered me to help out on those days, which I was happy to do. What's nice is they pay you to come do this so I didn't mind the extra income either.

There were two kinds of dresses and some headbands that we were to sort through and check for defects. The dresses each came in sizes S-XL and every size had 3-4 boxes, each with 50 dresses inside. If you do the math that's a lot of dresses to sort through, plus there were over 700 headbands!

This is one of the dresses we had to check. It's called Winter Beauty and it is so cute!!

I didn't think to take pictures till most of the inventory had already been sorted, but here are some of the boxes of dresses that still needed to be checked. It may not look like much but again each box has 50 dresses inside.

Here are some boxes of dresses that had been checked and were in good condition to sell. The other dress we had to check is the yellow one in this picture. I forgot to take a picture of that dress, but that dress is also very cute!

These two boxes are filled with all the dresses we found defective. That is so many dresses and what's sad is they just had little mistakes that caused them to be defective. The company will sell these defective dresses at their warehouse sale.

There were two other ladies who came to help with the inventory but they had to leave at 2:00 to pick up their kids from school, so I was left by myself for a couple of hours.

I had to get a picture of my handsome husband hard at work.

It was a lot of work sorting through all those dresses but I enjoyed my time there. It was fun getting to be with Lance all day plus meeting all the wonderful people he works with. I'm so grateful he got this job. Not only does he enjoy working at Little Adventures but the people there are great and treat him so good!

Back to School

Its that time of year again, when the water parks start to close, the leaves start changing colors, there's a cool breeze in the air, and school starts back up. I have to be honest and say that this time of year is not one of our favorites. The fact that summer is over, winter is just around the corner, and school starts back up does not bring joy to either of our hearts.

I am grateful every time a new semester starts to already be done with school. My poor husband on the other hand is still working hard to finish up with his. This wonderful husband of mine is not only working full time but also taking 17 school credit hours this semester! Just to give you a glimpse into his week:

Mon, Wed, Fri: School: 8-9am
                          Work: 9-5pm
                          School: 6-8:30pm
                          Homework: 8:30-?
Tues, Thurs:  Work: 8:30-5pm
                      School: 5:30-7pm
                      Homework: 7-?

On top of having on campus classes, he also is taking an online class and a co-op class!

This husband of mine is superman in my eyes. When I was going to school the thought of working full time and having more than 12 school credit hours was insane, down right impossible! But my amazing husband is showing me that anything is possible. He is so hardworking and a wonderful provider for us! I am so blessed to have him in my life!
