I have a 3 month old!

Its crazy that I already have a three month old! It’s also crazy that he’s only three months old. I feel that he’s been apart of our family for much longer. We’ve enjoyed having him so much and especially now that his personality is starting to come out!

Some things about Nixon:
  • He’s not a big fan of tummy time

Sometimes he doesn't mind it, but not for long periods of time

  • He’s a strong little guy
  •

  • He’s got good strength and control in holding his head up, and is pretty good at sitting up

  • He likes to be awake more than sleep

  •  He’s starting to smile A LOT more and even starting to giggle, and I am loving it!

And he's starting to talk more

  •  He’s a mama’s boy

  •  He loves dad too.... it helps if mom is near by

  • He takes a bottle very well! From the first time we gave him one he didn’t have a problem taking it.

  • He likes being sung to. Especially when his dad sings to him with the guitar

  • He enjoys riding in the car. I love looking back at him in his mirror and seeing him just looking around at everything

  • He hates being put in the car seat, but once you lift that car seat up and start carrying it he stops fussing immediately
  • He has a cute bald spot
  • He doesn’t like to be held in the cradle position, he prefers the football hold or any hold where He gets to look out and see what’s going on
This is how dad likes to hold him

  • He’s not much of a sit still and cuddle baby, he’s a mover. Sometimes when he’s really tired he’ll cuddle (usually when he's completely passed out)

  • He enjoys reading time

  • Enjoys bath time

  • He is a morning person. Always happy and smiley no matter how early, which makes getting up early not so bad
  • He's discovered the television and is starting to grow a fascination for it

  • He has a favorite toy. It's this cat with a stomach that lights up and sings (this is my secret weapon to get him to smile big for the camera)

  • He's sleeping through the night!
Left: tightly bundled for bed; Right: how I find him in the morning

This sweet boy of ours has been such a great baby to have as our first. I keep saying we are getting spoiled with how good of a baby we have. He brings such joy and happiness to our lives and we can’t imagine life without him now. We're excited to watch this little guy continue to learn and grow.
